Our Process

We take great care in planning each phase of any project we take on, no matter how big or small. To this end, if you commission us to build your new cabinets or furniture, we will guide you through this entire process:
Planning for new cabinets

From our initial contact to the finished product, we work together to bring your vision to life. First, we set up a time to visit your home or office so we can discuss in great detail your needs and expectations for your new cabinets or furniture and take some measurements of your space.

Designing new cabinets

Then, a few days later, we will send you along with your estimate a drawing to show you how our cabinets will look in your space. To this end, we can provide you with a physical sample that would be either stained or paint finished to resemble your final product.

Fabrication of your new cabinets

Once you approve our estimate, we begin building your cabinets in our woodshop. We carefully select your materials from our local suppliers, cut all the parts, assemble them, and finish your cabinets in the paint color or wood stain of your choice.

Installation of your new cabinets

Finally, upon fabrication, we deliver and install your cabinets on-site with great attention to detail. On average, an installation takes 1-2 days, depending upon the project's size.

Meet Shawn Hollenshead

Shawn Hollenshead

Shawn Hollenshead is a woodworker with a sensitive approach to design and artisanship. Passionate about the process of working with all species of wood, he has a reverence for the natural beauty of trees and the infinite variety of forms they can take.

How it all started

As a young man, Shawn finds himself interested in helping his parents with their business, building custom homes in the Chester County area. While working on these job sites, Shawn is fascinated by the Amish carpenters and their craftsmanship. As a result, he quickly learns the trade under their guidance. Later, after graduating high school, he decides to move to the suburbs of Paris to hone his craft by working as an apprentice for a French cabinetmaker.

Doing business since 2003

Upon returning to the U.S., Shawn founds his own custom woodworking company. Having the opportunity to work with many clients over the years allowed Shawn to explore the craft and fine tune his skills. Shawn enjoys working with homeowners, as well as architects and designers to create unique cabinetry and furniture built to last. Most importantly, he has a deep appreciation for the techniques and the masterful skills required for fine woodworking.
